Studio e-mail

Who your e-mails come from, where replies go, digest e-mails, notices to clients, sending from your own domain and the monthly e-mail limit.

Open Company settings › E-mail. Only the owner and admins see it, and changes save on their own.

Sender and notices

  • From name: the name your clients see on e-mails from gridOS (invoices, proposals, reminders, portal links). Left blank, it's the studio's name.
  • Reply-to address: where a client's reply goes, for example your studio's inbox.
  • Digest emails: Daily, Weekly or Off. Each member gets a summary of upcoming tasks and overdue invoices. Send test digest sends you one now.
  • Automatically email clients on the reminder cadence: payment reminders 3 days before, on the due date and 7 days after, to the client's finance contact. On a single invoice, ⋯ › Pause reminders stops them. If you use Asaas, see who sends the reminders in Pix, boleto and card with Asaas.
  • E-mail clients when something needs them: files to approve, updates, replies, confirmed meetings and messages go in one e-mail per client, at most every 15 minutes. To switch it off for one client, open the client's Portal and turn off E-mail the client.

Send from your own domain

Without this, e-mails go out from gridOS's shared address, with your From name. With it, they come from an address on your own domain, such as invoices@yourstudio.com.

  1. Under Custom sending domain, type the Domain (yourstudio.com) and the Address prefix (the part before the @). Click Add domain.
  2. gridOS shows a few DNS records, each with a type, a name and a value. They are short lines of text that prove the domain is yours. You add them where your domain is managed: usually the company you bought it from, or the one that hosts your site.
  3. Copy each record there exactly as shown. Then come back and click Recheck status. Each record shows Verified or Pending; changes can take from a few minutes to a few hours.

gridOS never needs access to your domain or your e-mail account. Remove takes the domain off, and e-mails go back to the shared address.

If someone else looks after your website, send them the records: it's a five-minute job for them.

The monthly e-mail limit

Each plan sends a number of e-mails to clients a month. Every address counts, copies included. Plan and billing shows E-mails to clients this month, and from 80% the owner sees a notice on Home. At the limit, sending stops until the 1st, or until you move to a bigger plan. See Plan and billing.
